Dear viewer, we create these pieces for you.....to feel something subtle and indescribable.....something in- between and poetic....in hopes that they will unlock a before- unknown sacred sliver in your "heart of hearts"!

This video is dedicated to all who have lost a mother or who have found a mother, those who are adopted or fostered and to those who are pursuing the all- important and crucial goal of mothering themselves.

It is for YOU, dear viewer! You're welcome!!😉😉😉

The song itself was a collaboration of my awesome band-at-the beginning: Tanz, Amos Fisher, Paul Alexandre Meurens & Amber Dawn Watson and was refined by our masterful, inspired sound engineer & producer, Tony Maimone.

All was recorded at Studio G in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The best, best studio EVER.

The video was created and shot on my trusty iPad in collaboration with and directed by my beloved freind Tanya Anderson Martin and stars the Martin "team" of Rosalie, Reese, Spencer and Trinity. We filmed it in the woods of Rehobeth, Massachusetts and it was then edited by me after many hours of cutting and pasting and tracing in my tiny loft in Bushwick, BK.♡

lyrics

MOTHER, TENDER
Said I'd spend it alone; it was quiet time but I was thinking of you
Change of hue in your eye like a damp spring bark but I was thinking if you
Caught a spark of your light through the mottled leaves-
I was thinking of you
Looking up at the blue through the canopied boughs and I knew it was you, I knew it was you

Oh Mother, so tender
I know you feel me in
The mirror is so ruthless
I know you understand

You don't have to say the words or hash it out, no,
You don't have to justify it sell it, no
You don't have to agonize or make it up to me
You dont have to justify or sell me
And you made it hard for me
It was so hard to see
It's always so hard to see the mirror

Said I'd spend it alone; it was private time but I kept dreaming of you
Change of hue in your eye like a damp spring moss and I was dreaming of you
There is a flutter, a pang in my heart of hearts- I was dreaming of you
Looking up the blue through the canopied boughs and I knew it was you, I knew it was you

Oh Mother, so tender
I know you feel me in
The mirror is so ruthless
I know you understand

You don't have to say the words or hash it out,no,
You don't have to justify it sell it, no
You don't have to agonize or make it up to me
You dont have to justify or sell me
And you made it hard for me
Oooo it was so hard to see
Why is it always so hard to see the mirror?

I know, I know I know, I know I know, I know I know I know.....
I know, I know I know, I know I know, I know I know I know
you understand
